Head Gymnastics Coach and Venue Program Manager

Position: Head Gymnastics Coach and Venue Program Manager

Location: QLD 4000

The right candidate will be based at Moreton Bay College, Wynnum West venue, but will need to be available to coach at Somerville House, South Brisbane venue.

Salary: $68,000 + superannuation

Full-time position

Our client is a privately owned family business in one of the most competitive and successful gymnastics clubs in Queensland in all three disciplines they offer WAG, AERO and RG. They have been operating since 1999 and are currently based out of fully set up venues at Moreton Bay College, Wynnum West and Somerville House, South Brisbane. They pride themselves on being a ‘boutique style’ gymnastics club small enough to maintain a wonderful family atmosphere with all of their members, yet successful in competition too. The business is currently ranked number 2 in WAG and number 3 in Aerobics Gymnastics in Australia. They are looking for an enthusiastic high performance head gymnastics coach and program manager to join their team.

Task and Duties include:

• Overseeing the participation of children in sport and promoting gymnastics and skill development

• Attendance at competitions and assistance with event organisations

• Supervising practice gymnastics sessions including assessment of athletes and Personal Program Management systems

• Ability to work with children in a confident and enthusiastic friendly manner

• Ability to motivate children to reach their goals and be the best they can be

• Ability to work well within a team including liaising with Program Manager/Director and Head Coach of the other venue

• Engaging and dynamic in your pursuit for success

• Ability to coach Australian level program 1-10 and high performance

• Instructing, training and coaching gymnasts by analysing performance and encouraging the development of their abilities

• Supervising/directing/mentoring other staff members

• Overseeing venue including daily/weekly/monthly/annual equipment audits and set up

• Program management including writing, reviewing and overseeing the programs for the competitive and development teams

• Ability to conduct Team Leaders meetings

• Working with Administration Managers and Directors on Program Development

Required:

• Willing to obtain Working with Children (blue card)

• Willing to obtain  First Aid certificate

• Relevant qualifications in related field

• Minimum 2 years of competitive experience essential

• Judging qualification preferred but not essential

• Ability to coach Australian level program 1-10 and high performance
